Stem Core, the ASCC’s Core Facility, in conjunction with the AIBN at the University of Queensland, are offering Australia’s first iPS Training Workshops to be held in Queensland this year.

Since the creation of the first human iPS cells in November 2007 they have continued to create a buzz within the science world. The Stem Core iPS cell workshop is aimed at giving participants practical experience with the generation, identification and analysis of iPS cells. Additionally, a series of lectures delivered by a panel of experts on the background of this fast developing field is also provided.


To ensure the stem cell sector in Australia continues to grow and remain internationally competitive, skills and training area strong focus of the ASCC.
